Exciting new option for home sellers
Looking to sell your home? Have you considered an auction?
Here’s an exciting new option for you… for the first time, the Auckland Autumn Home Show 2009 will be the venue for residential property auctions. And as a venue to showcase your auction property, the Home Show is perfect.
Last April, the 3-day home show at the ASB Showgrounds attracted 15,000 visitors – almost all property owners or new home buyers, many also with investment properties. Most show visitors were in the 30-60 age group, with above-average household incomes. The visitors came because of their keen interest in property – buying and selling, organising finance, getting information and ideas on products and services for their new homes or their renovation and redecorating projects.
This year, the Autumn Home Show will run from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 March from 10.00am to 6.00pm each day. The auction programme will alternate with the popular Property Know-How seminars in a special theatre right in the heart of the show and will be managed by PKH staff.
Property Know-How ceo Christine Neil believes for people struggling to get interest in their home, this is a great opportunity. “Action in today’s property market is about buyers making decisions; it seems the best way to commit buyers to act is with a set sale date, and the understanding that the seller is serious about selling.”
“Home Show visitors are looking for practical ideas, inspiration and information, says Neil. Many are downsizing or upsizing because of changed circumstances. They may be looking for property and finance solutions.
“This auction programme could have something for everyone. As well as some affordable homes for first home buyers, there’s opportunity to promote high profile properties which will draw crowds” says Neil. Vendors and registered bidders will have complimentary tickets to the Show, and private negotiating rooms have been set aside for vendors, bidders and agents to conclude a sale at the venue. There will be advice and help for vendors before the show from our professional auctioneer and the PKH marketing team.
Vendors will benefit from publicity and direct marketing. The auction properties will appear in The PKH Seminar Guide, published as part of the New Zealand Herald magazine-style Autumn Home Show Guide which is inserted into 275,000 Auckland-area newspapers in the lead-up to the Show.
The auction properties will appear on the Property Know-How website, www.pkh.co.nz, and the event will be profiled in Show promotion on radio in the press and on www.autumnhomeshow.co.nz
